When the alarm goes, someone answers.
If you need help, you should be able to contact us and get an answer. Key holding is that answer at three in the morning: an officer who attends so that you, or a member of your staff, do not have to.

What key holding includes
-
Secure key holding
Your keys are held securely and signed out only under the procedures we agree.
-
Agreed response procedures
Before we hold a key, we agree what happens when a call comes in, who is told and what we do on site.
-
Attendance when required
An officer attends the premises when it is needed.
-
Liaison with your contacts
We liaise with you and the contacts we agree, so the right people know what is happening.

Five steps, agreed with you before we hold a key.
- 01

The call comes to us, under the procedure we agreed with you.
- 03

- 05
Report
You get a report of what happened and what we did.
Keys held properly, procedures agreed first.
Key holding only works if the procedure is clear before anything happens. We agree it with you first: where the keys are held, who can call us out, who we tell and what we do when we get there.
You are trusting us with the keys to your business, so we keep them secure and handle them discreetly.
Key holding runs subject to agreed procedures, staffing, insurance and operational requirements, so we will tell you plainly what we can cover for your premises.

Common questions
Who holds our keys?
We do. Keys are held securely and only used under the procedure we agree with you.
How quickly do you attend?
We agree the arrangements with you before we hold a key: who is called, when an officer attends and what they do on site. We do not publish a response time.
Do you work with our alarm company?
We liaise with you and the contacts we agree, which can include the company that monitors your alarm.
Can key holding be combined with patrols?
Yes. Our patrols include key holding-related response. See Security Patrols.
Can you answer our phones out of hours?
We plan to offer an out-of-hours telephone divert, which can run alongside key holding or on its own. See Telephone Divert.
Which areas do you cover?
Cumbria, including the South Lakes, and North Lancashire.
How do I get a price?
Request a quote and tell us about the premises and what you want to happen when the alarm goes. We will come back to you.
